Feeling like Carrie

A simple white tank and busy flowy skirt can easily make me feel like Carrie Bradshaw any day.

My skirt was a little on the high waisted side and felt poofier than most of my other skirts which made me feel the "Carrie" tutu look. Hey, I ain't complainin'. My skirt is busy with stems and branches ranging in light brown, burnt yellow and grey colors. The tied bow in the front waist along with pockets made me feel very care free which was a little dangerous for being in the office. I wanted to be in the sun! At least it made for a fun time in the office or at least what I could make of it.

I kept my shoes to a minimal flat t-strap sandal; I didn't need to be 3 inches higher while sitting at my desk all day. I would have "carried" off the look w/ my new white platforms but didn't want to over do it (I'll show you those babies another day).

Clean office

My office is very business casual and by very business casual I mean as long as there are no rips or holes in my clothes I'm good. I was feeling pretty plain Jane so I went for a clean office look with a sleeveless navy top wrapped with a big bow around the neck to make it professional. The ruffled sleeves flirt a little too. I paired it with a knee length jean skirt and simple black open toe kitten heels. The thin leather bow tie on my kittens coordinated with my top. My basket weave purse made me want to have a picnic all day too!

Day to Night

I needed an outfit that would suit me well for work and play. I chose a very simple black baby doll sleeveless top with dark denim capri jeans. To brighten up my outfit I went for a thick and chunky multi strand turquoise necklace and made it fancy for my night out with 3 1/2 inch peep toe patent leather heels adorned with a 3 ring rustic gold buckle atop my toes.
